Andreas Scherer
Dr. Andreas Scherer is an experienced executive who has run businesses both internationally and domestically, in technology, Internet and media for over 20 years. He is Founder and Managing Partner of Salto Partners, a management consulting firm headquartered in the DC metro area. Prior roles include Executive Vice President and General Manager of ProChain Solutions, Inc. and VP level executive positions with AOL and Netscape managing businesses in excess of $100 M. He has extensive experience successfully managing growth as well as orchestrating complex turnaround situations.
Dr. Scherer holds a PhD in computer science from the University of Hagen, Germany, and a Master of Computer Science from the University of Dortmund, Germany. He is author and co- author of over 20 international publications and has written books on project management, the Internet, and artificial intelligence. His latest book, “Be Fast Or Be Gone”, came out in Spring of 2011. He is married and the proud father of one son.
